For our preliminry task we named our project 'Sweetcorn Man'.
The task was to create a basic scene in order to practice our camera and filming skills. We had to incorporate a match-on-action, shot reverse shot and the 180 degree rule into the piece by any means we felt necessary.
In my group there was Becky, Sean and I. We didn't get off to a very good start as Becky (who was to be our actress) couldnt come to the lesson. So Sean came up with the idea for me to act, but i didnt want to, which meant our filming was going nowhere. After about 40 minutes I realised that something like this may happen when filming my actual project and we were wasting time by not doing anything. This proved that for our actual projects we would need back up ideas incase something went wrong.
Luckily Becky came back in time for the next lesson so she was able to resume her role as actress which allowed me to do the camera work. Fortunatley this worked out better and as a group we managed to find ways to create the best idea for our preliminary task. We were also able to add in the match-on-action, shot reverse shot and the 180 degree rule.
